Two Carmel Swim Club swimmers were winners Friday during Day 2 of the Indiana Swimming Senior State Meet, which is taking place at the IU Natatorium.
Molly Sweeney led off the evening with a victory in the Women’s 400 individual medley, finishing in a time of 4 minutes, 53.08 seconds. Lynsey Bowen followed her teammate a little later by winning the Women’s 100 freestyle, clocking in at 56.22 seconds.
Day 3 will be another busy day, with swimmers participating in the 200 butterfly, 100 backstroke, 400 freestyle, 200 breaststroke and the 400 medley relay. Preliminary swims begin at 9 a.m. in all events, except for the relay, which will be a timed final event. Finals in the other events begin at 5:15 p.m.
