Last week, on September 11, the Carmel fire and police departments welcomed the public both to mourn and honor the lives lost on that tragic day 24 years ago. The ceremony celebrated the bravery of all the first responders who ran into the buildings that day instead of away from them. Every year, we gather to remember because the attacks and what they meant for this country, can never be forgotten. Thank you to everyone who attended.
