Boys soccer: Cline scores three in Carmel win

The Carmel boys soccer team beat Fort Wayne Canterbury 4-3 in a Friday game.
Junior Alex Cline scored three goals for the Class 3A No. 18 Greyhounds, who improved to 3-4. Senior Riley Shives got a goal and an assist, with senior Ben Godden and Oliver Shives both making one assist.
“I am extremely proud of how we performed tonight,” said Carmel coach Shane Schmidt. “We went down and came back, then let Canterbury back in, but stuck to the task at hand and finished an opportunity late in the game.”
The ‘Hounds are 3-4 and host Lawrence North on Tuesday.
