Carmel’s Holiday at Carter Green sponsored by Allied Solutions is the city’s annual lighting ceremony that takes place on the opening day of Christkindlmarkt and The Ice at Carter Green.
There will be jugglers, carolers, balloon artists, face painters and a visit from Santa, his reindeer and other North Pole animals. Children visiting with Santa will receive a free goodie bag filled with surprises donated by event sponsors while supplies last.
The festivities will take place from 3:15 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, with the tree lighting set for dusk at approximately 5:30 p.m.
Carmel City Councilman Jeff Worrell will emcee with Cynthia Collins of Actors Theatre of Indiana. Attendees will enjoy performances by the Carmel High School Choir – Dicken’s Quartet, Civic Theatre, Indiana Ballet Conservatory, Carmel Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet, Central Indiana Dance Ensemble, and Coach Blair Clark and students.
In-kind sponsors include Melissa and Gene Skalicky, Carmel Mayor’s Youth Council, Carmel Arts Council, and Brad Osborne.
