Your child can enjoy sensory-friendly ice skating in Carmel

The City of Carmel will hold two sensory-friendly skate days at the Ice at Center Green. Both skate sessions are free and will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. on Jan. 27 and Feb. 24.

This sensory-friendly event is for families and is especially designed for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder or any type of special need.

Wheelchairs will be welcome on the ice. Ice walker supports will be available to share.

During these two sessions, the ice rink will be closed to the general public. Guardians must accompany children on the ice.
