You too can hike to help with mental health this weekend

The first-ever Indiana Construction Hike for Hope will take place this Saturday, May 31, at Hub & Spoke, 8100 E. 106th St., Fishers. Check-in and activities for this free family-friendly event begins at 10 a.m., with the program starting at 11 a.m. The hike will immediately follow.

The Indiana Construction Hike for Hope is a statewide event meant to engage the construction industry on the importance of mental health and suicide prevention. According to the CDC’s data on suicide risk within occupational groups, the construction and extraction industries were found to have the highest rate of suicide in the United States.

Participants who raise $150 by the day of the hike will earn a shirt. Visit afsp.org/inconstruction for more information and to register.
