Westfield Washington Schools (WWS) celebrates Brian Tomamichel, Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations, for eight years of outstanding leadership and service. During a time of rapid growth and significant change, his strategic foresight and steadfast dedication helped position the district to welcome and support Westfield’s growing community effectively.

After eight years of service, Tomamichel will transition to his new role as Superintendent of Mill Creek Community School Corporation in Hendricks County. His leadership and experience will be a tremendous asset to the district. At WWS, he played a critical role in guiding the district through remarkable expansion, overseeing the addition of more than 2,500 students and managing more than $700 million in construction projects.

Tomamichel’s leadership style – rooted in integrity, compassion, and a deep commitment to family – has left a lasting mark on the WWS community. He fostered a culture where every team member felt valued, supported, and empowered to make a difference.

“Working for Brian, he always respected that we have lives outside of work,” Karen Cross said.

School Board President Mike Steele added, “He encouraged us to take care of our families and created an environment where that was not only accepted but supported. As an alumnus, I’ve seen the positive changes firsthand. Thank you for everything you’ve done for Westfield Washington Schools and this community.”

He is also set to serve as IASBO President for the 2025-26 term, further extending his impact on education across the state.

WWS extends its heartfelt gratitude to Brian Tomamichel for his visionary leadership and unwavering dedication. His legacy will continue to inspire and guide the district for years to come, and everyone wishes him continued success in his next chapter. Once a Rock, Always a Rock.
