Westfield High School welcomes students from over 32 different countries of origin who speak over 55 different languages.
During a recent CORE period meeting, these students had the opportunity to have their pictures taken with their home country’s flag. These flags are now hanging in the Main Hallway right outside the Counseling Center. Every student should know they are an important part of the fabric of WHS and that they should keep their rich heritage close to their hearts while they embrace their American home as well.
Westfield Washington Schools is committed to a strong school-home partnership with multilingual students and their families. Stay tuned for more Multilingual Nights coming in the New Year featuring adult ESL classes, tutoring for students and hands-on play for younger ages.
