Work begins on riparian corridor in Grand Junction

Work will begin tomorrow on the early stages of riparian corridor construction in Westfield’s Grand Junction Park and Plaza project.

The first phase of the work will include removing trees along the Grassy Branch Creek. This anticipates forthcoming work which will allow the banks of the creek to return to a natural state for improved water flow.

Trees will be replanted, with numbers to be determined at a later date.

An artist’s rendering of the completed corridor is attached.

The work is being done in conjunction with the Hamilton County Surveyor’s Office as part of routine legal drain maintenance.

Work for this phase of the project will likely last for one week.
