William “Tom” Thomas Fennell

April 20, 1938 – February 7, 2024

William “Tom” Thomas Fennell, 85, Noblesville, passed away while surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Harbour Manor Care Center. He was born in New Market, Tenn., on April 20, 1938, to the late Clayton and Agnes (Stallsworth) Fennell.

On September 4, 1960, he married Sandra “Sandy” Kay (Kakasuleff) Fennell, and they shared 57 years of marriage before Sandy’s passing in December of 2017.

Tom attended Lincoln High School and graduated with the Class of 1954. Tom spent his career working in retail. He started in entry-level positions and worked up to executive management at Danners Incorporation, where he retired after 35 years. Tom was devoted to his faith and attended the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Arcadia, where he served as the Financial Secretary for several years. Tom also spent time in his youth sponsoring and working with the Junior Achievement organization, which helped the youth get acclimated to business environments to better them for the workforce. During his free time, Tom enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and collecting pocket knives. He and Sandy loved to go antiquing and spending time outdoors. Tom loved his family and enjoyed all the time he was able to spend with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren – to them he was the “Coolest Pa.”

Tom is survived by his children, Gregg (Amanda) Fennell of Fishers, Tanya Runyan of Noblesville, and Trina Fennell of Arcadia; grandchild, Kayleigh (Bruce) Weisman of Lebanon, Tenn., Emily (Michael) Weiss of Carmel, Erin Runyan of Nora, Ind., Sarah Hiatt of Arcadia, Joe Hiatt of Carmel; great-grandchildren, Annabelle Weisman, and Max and Charlie Weiss; sisters, Wanda Knipp of Pershing, Ind., Darlene (James) Gray of Cambridge City, Ind., and Alice (Paul) Good of Oro Valley, Ariz.
