William E. “Bill” Forkner, 79, Noblesville, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. He was born on August 24, 1941 to the late Lester and Mary (Buscher) Forkner in Castleton, Ind.
Bill was a graduate of Tipton High School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired after 30 years with Noblesville Casting and then worked for Interstate Foundry for 10 years.
Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patsy Cummins Forkner; children, Terry (Mike) Merritt, Chuck (Amy) Forkner, and Bryan (Patricia) Forkner; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Betty Jo (Floyd) Cook and Cora Ellen (Weldon) Freeman.
Services will be held at 7 p.m., with visitation from 4 to 7 p.m., on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Bill’s friends Harold Collins and Tony Pryor will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
