William “Bill” Shelton Simpson

October 20, 1936 – February 2, 2021

It is with a heavy heart we announce that William “Bill” Shelton Simpson passed away on February 2, 2021 due to complications from dementia at the age of 84. Bill was born on October 20, 1936 in Nancy, Ky.

In 1955 he moved to Indianapolis, where he met and married the love of his life, Judith Ann Hunt. Bill and Judith were married for 64 years and had two daughters, Ann E. Clymer and Lisa M. Millikan; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In 1974 Bill moved his family to Noblesville. He made a name for himself doing what he loved – building quality custom homes. One of his greatest joys was working in his workshop, creating new items, and repairing or redesigning old ones. He was truly brilliant. Bill was liked and loved by so many. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, and his special cat, Buddy-Noodle.

Bill will be resting at Crown Hill Cemetery. Due to COVID, there will be no visitation. The Simpson family has entrusted Randall & Roberts Funeral Home with Bill’s care.
