Last Saturday, White River Township and the Hamilton County Bicentennial Commission held a joint celebration of the county’s 200th birthday at the White River Township Fire Department. According to officials and volunteers, early in the day it was already on track to be the largest annual fish fry the township’s history. Parking was at such a premium that volunteers were shuttling people to and from their cars in golf carts. With a line into the dining area so long it went through two buildings, The Reporter believes that estimate.
