Dear Editor:

As Thanksgiving approaches, I want to reflect on a few things I and all of us at the CSO are thankful for.

I am very grateful to the incredibly talented musicians who join their many individual sounds into one true symphony. Their hard work has earned us the reputation as one of the Midwest’s finest orchestras. I also want to thank the amazing volunteers who dedicate their time and resources to ensure the show always goes on.

Most important, I want to thank you. Whether you are a longtime attendee or a first-time patron, we are so appreciative of your support. It is because of that support that we can provide Carmel with a world-class symphonic experience. This past year has been one to remember. From diverse musical selections to an array of world-class conductors, we have grown tremendously over nearly 50 years.

And we have no plans of slowing down. That is why we need your support. Next Tuesday, Dec. 3, is #GivingTuesday. What started as a small movement in 2012 has grown into an important reminder that amid all the holiday shopping, we should take time to give back. Your support is what keeps us going and we hope that you will consider us as this season of giving commences.

To you and your family, we at the CSO wish you a very happy Thanksgiving and a great start to the holiday season.

With much gratitude,

Anne Marie Chastain
Executive Director
Carmel Symphony Orchestra
