Westfield High School football coach Jake Gilbert has been chosen as the Midwest Region winner of the American Football Coaches Assocation Power of Influence Award.
Gilbert, also the Dean of Wellness, Connections and Growth at WHS, is one of five finalists in the United States for the national award. The AFCA award is the highest honor given to a high school football coach.
Coaches who receive the award are recognized for their impact on their team, in addition to the legacy they leave with the school and its surrounding community. Winners are selected by the AFCA Board of Directors.

Coach Gilbert has been very good to both of my grandsons.
So very happy for him to be a finalist in a very elite group.
