The Westfield girls basketball team got a Tuesday 51-42 win at Mount Vernon.
The Shamrocks trailed for most of the game, but used an explosive fourth quarter to pull away with the win. Aubrey Crockett scored 12 points, followed by Ellie Kelleher with 10 points. Reagan Lorenzen and Lindsey Van Dyke both added nine points.
Westfield is 3-1 for the season.

Sheridan dropped an away game at Brebeuf Jesuit 56-48 on Tuesday.
The Braves led 20-12 after one quarter and 29-20 at halftime. Brebeuf extended its lead to 42-28 after three quarters; and that allowed the Braves to withstand a 20-point fourth quarter from the Blackhawks.
Kenzie Garner scored 20 points, while Shelby Eaton had 11 points, including a late 3-pointer. Cecilia Timme scored seven points. Garner collected seven rebounds, handed out six assists and blocked two shots, with Eaton and Timme both getting five rebounds.
Sheridan is 0-2 and hosts Covenant Christian on Thursday.

Carmel fell to Zionsville 49-38 in a Tuesday away game.
The Greyhounds led 14-9 after one quarter, with Lauren Perry draining three 3-pointers. But the Eagles took control in the middle periods, outscoring Carmel 32-16 in the second and third quarters. Zionsville led 25-22 at halftime and 41-39 after three.
Perry added two more 3s in the second quarter, giving her a total of five triples and 15 points. Izzy Shepherd added nine points.
Carmel is 2-2 and plays at Fort Wayne Carroll Saturday afternoon.
