Westfield Washington Township will hold three information fairs in the beginning of January to educate residents about Project Ever Green and the parks bond initiative. The purpose of Project Ever Green and the parks bond initiative is to purchase land in the township when it becomes available for open spaces and nature preservation.
The information fairs will allow residents to learn more about the township’s strategic plan for park space and the expected tax implications. Each meeting is open to the public and representatives from the Trustee’s Office will be on hand to answer questions.
About Westfield Washington Township
Founded in 1834, the Westfield Washington Township, trustee and elected board are responsible for Township assistance, fire protection, cemetery maintenance, weed control and other duties as specified by the state legislature. In addition, the Westfield Washington Township oversees Parks & Recreation and a variety of recreation activities, programs and event for all ages. Project Ever Green embraces a future that includes park space to ensure a positive quality of life for upcoming generations.
Until and unless the City of Westfield discusses and publicly debates the Pros and Cons of this initiative with the leading contrary voices, it should be quashed. Carmel, even with all its shiny baubles, is a shining example of why a local ‘oligarchy’ is contrary to our mutual long-term best interests (they haven’t yet realized the brunt of their debt). Open the doors and ensure that all voices have been afforded their legal rights to be considered, then let the chips fall where they may.
