Westfield Washington Schools welcomes radio personality Deborah Honeycutt to upcoming Parent University event

Honeycutt

Deborah Honeycutt, host of the Jim, Deb & Kevin morning radio show on 95.5 WFMS, will speak at Westfield High School on Wednesday, Sept. 8. Hosted by Parent University, this event is free to the public. The radio personality will share stories from her personal journey and inspire the audience to be the best version of themselves.

The doors open at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 8 at the Westfield High School Auditorium, 18250 N. Union St., Westfield. Get your free tickets at bit.ly/EmbraceTheChaosWithDeborah.

Ashley Knott, Westfield Washington Schools’ coordinator of family and community engagement, said Honeycutt’s event is a great way to set the tone for this school year.

“We are bringing Deborah Honeycutt to Westfield because we know she can inspire and encourage our families right now, when we need it most,” Knott said. “We’ve all been through a lot and are learning how important it is to take a moment for ourselves.  Listening to Deborah on the radio she shares how important it is to spend time with her family, cherishes her friends, loves being a mom, laughs a lot and doesn’t take herself too seriously … unless she’s playing ‘Can’t Beat Deb!’ Her message of levity and inspiration is one that our community could really use right now.”

Honeycutt has been a radio personality in Indianapolis for the past 30 years. She has worked with Jim Denny and Kevin Freeman for nearly 20 years and has been named the large market personality of the year by CMA and ACM. In 2020, the Anderson native was recognized by the Alliance for Women in Media with a prestigious Gracie Award.

“We all went through a year of massive change,” Honeycutt said. “Thrive in your mess. Your mess is your story. There are no hard rules as we return to our norms. Allow yourself some grace and embrace the chaos.”
