The Westfield High School softball program recently held a T-shirt fundraiser with 185 Promotions to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to help the fight against all types of blood cancer. Varsity, junior varsity, and the seventh-grade and eighth-grade programs sold pink shirts to raise funds, and each team wore the shirts for a game. The event culminated in a pre-game ceremony at the Westfield vs. Guerin Catholic varsity game, with WHS varsity softball player Brookly Miner’s family throwing out the first pitch. More than $2,100 was raised for LLS, which was donated in the Miner family’s name.
