Members of the Westfield Police Department (WPD) gathered on Tuesday at Trinity Baptist Church, 1415 E. 191st St., Westfield, to celebrate some recent promotions and enjoy time catching up with co-workers and families. Eric Grimes was promoted from Patrol Lieutenant to Patrol Captain. Jeff Swiatkowski and Josh Harrell were promoted from Patrol Sergeant to Patrol Lieutenant. Officers Lindsay Bevilaqua, Dewey Abney, and Rafael Diaz were promoted to the rank of Patrol Sergeant. Officer LeeAnn Carter was appointed to Detective. Thanks to WPD Chaplain Daniel Minton and Trinity Baptist for playing host and providing delicious food.
