Westfield Mayor Cook to testify on hands-free driving legislation

Westfield Mayor Andy Cook is set to testify at a legislative committee hearing on Hands-Free Device Driving legislation, HB 1070.

The stated goal of the bill is to increase roadway safety in Indiana by updating the state’s distracted driving law to require drivers to use hands-free technology behind the wheel of a car.

Cook will testify at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22 in Room 156-B at the Statehouse, 200 W. Washington St., Indianapolis.
