Westfield man arrested for child exploitation

A Westfield man was arrested Thursday afternoon on a Henry County Felony Warrant after a lengthy State Police investigation. The investigation started in April of this year after Pendleton District Investigator Andy Byers received a tip from a concerned parent.

As a result of Byers investigation, Timothy W. Brouwer, 27, Westfield, was arrested on seven Level 5 Felony charges of Child Exploitation and two Level 6 Felony charges of Dissemination of Material Harmful to a Minor.

The charges against Brouwer stem from events that occurred earlier this year when Brouwer allegedly took photographs of a minor child engaged in sexual activity as well as transmitted images of an adult engaged in sexual activity with a minor. Brouwer was lodged in the Henry County Jail.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
