The annual Westfield Lions Club Fish Fry will be held Friday, Sept. 9 and Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Christ United Methodist Church, 318 N. Union St., Westfield. The Lions will serve from 5 to 8 p.m. both days.

“This year’s menu features a Full Meal Deal, which includes a fish sandwich, two sides, and a drink for $12,” Event Chair Bill Nesbitt said. “Our customers can dine inside the church or use the popular drive-thru concept we introduced at last year’s Fish Fry. All the customers have to do is drive in, place their order with a Lion, pay and pick up their food, and drive out.”

The Fish Fry menu consists of fish sandwiches, hot dogs, side dishes – including baked beans, cole slaw, and potato salad – and drinks. Nesbitt added that desserts have returned to the menu this year.

Credit cards or cash will be accepted as payment and proceeds will go to various Lions projects, including Leader Dogs for the Blind, Indiana Lions Eye Bank, and Lions Cancer Control.  Fish Fry proceeds will also go to the Lions’ 2022 “Dictionary Project” where the Lions provide free dictionaries to all third graders in Westfield Washington Schools.

This will be the 87th annual Westfield Lions Club Fish Fry, the first of which was held in 1933. For more information about the Westfield Lions Club and how to become a member, go to  WestfieldLions.org or follow the Club on Facebook.

  1. My friends and I always enjoy the fish fry. It’s been a staple in Westville far as long as I can remember.
