New non-profit grateful for Lions Club donation
The Westfield Lions Club welcomed Jennifer Sell, Executive Director of the Noblesville-based group Same As U to the Club’s recent meeting. Same As U is dedicated to serve young adults with developmental disabilities.
“Young adults with developmental disabilities 18 and over are kind of left out. They get help and support through high school, but then they are left without a real support group after high school. We try to provide that support,” said Sell.
Same As U provides a “college-style” curriculum in academics, as well as enrichment development, along with vocational, social and life skills for the young people.
Sell told the Lions, “Same As U is dedicated to equipping young adults with developmental disabilities to be able to enjoy the bountiful life God designed.”
Established in April of 2019, Same As U, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, depends on volunteers and donations from the community to do this very special work. For more information on this wonderful organization, visit sameasu.org or call (317) 445-2702.
Lion President John Wardlow said, “We are so happy to help support this amazing group. It is great to see how much effect Same As U, has on the lives of these kids.”
