Proceeds from Christmas Tree Raffle to benefit Westfield Public Library
The Westfield Library Foundation will ring in the holidays with a Christmas Tree Unveiling Party from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Westfield Washington Public Library, 17400 Westfield Blvd.
The festive event will celebrate the launch of the Foundation’s annual Christmas Tree Raffle, featuring themed trees decorated by Erin Downey, the Foundation’s Executive Director and a talented interior designer.
The morning will include the very first peek at five uniquely decorated trees and live carolers as well as holiday-inspired story times and crafts for the kids. Tickets for the raffle are just $10 each, and on this special day only, if you buy five tickets, you get one free.
After the open house, raffle tickets will be available at the library and online, with sales closing on Sunday, Dec. 1. Winners will be drawn on Monday, Dec. 2. The Foundation hopes to raise $10,000 through the raffle.
“We couldn’t be more excited to kick off the holiday season with what we hope will become a new tradition in our building,” Downey said. “Decorating for the holidays is a passion of mine, and I believe this year’s tree selection will truly resonate with our community. Every penny raised will support library programming and services in the coming year, so we hope the community will pack the house.”
This year’s tree themes and sponsors include:
- The Polar Express: The Farmers Bank (also the event’s Presenting Sponsor)
- The Patriotic Nutcracker: The City of Westfield
- Taylor Swift’s Christmas Era: Grand Maple Dental
- A Vintage Christmas: Medallion Partners
- Diamond and Pearls: Moyer Fine Jewelers
