Santa stopped by Westfield High School on Sat., Dec. 14, to greet children, share some cookies and hot cocoa, and double check his gift lists.

The free event hosted by WHS Student Government included cookie-decorating, ornament-making, an inflatable obstacle course, and, of course, an opportunity to visit with Santa.

“Our student leaders do a fantastic job at creating a magical day for the families in our community,” said John Moore, WHS business teacher who moonlights as the man in the red suit.

Student Government has been hosting the event since 2012, when it was Breakfast with Santa.

“Of all of our Student Government hosted events, this one holds a special place in our students’ hearts,” said Johnna Groom, WHS treasurer and Student Government sponsor. “The students spend so much time on events for their own student body that they love the chance, especially during the season, of getting to say thank you to the community that has supported them.”
