Four students from Westfield High School’s The Station yearbook staff attended the Spring National High School Journalism Convention in Seattle, Wash., last month. The event, hosted jointly by the Journalism Education Association and the National Scholastic Press Association, welcomed nearly 3,500 students from across the globe to attend sessions led by media professionals.

(ABOVE, from left) Dani Montgomery, Teagan Trent, Victoria Webb, and Lilia Doran made school history as WHS’s first-ever group to attend the semiannual event. All four earned Honorable Mention in their individual National Media Contests, placing in the top 10 percent of 873 competitors.

Congratulations to these students for their outstanding performance and for representing Westfield on a national stage.
