Westfield Washington Schools held the 132nd Commencement Ceremony for Westfield High School last Friday, May 23.
The Class of 2025 includes 675 graduates. Among this accomplished group are recipients of the prestigious Lilly and Wells scholarships, as well as an appointment to the United States Naval Academy, demonstrating the academic strength and leadership within the class.
Graduates were offered an impressive $33,831,096 in scholarship opportunities, with $13,506,475 accepted. Westfield students also demonstrated academic excellence by taking 1,814 Advanced Placement (AP) exams, achieving an 85 percent passing rate and producing 124 AP Scholars to date.
In addition to academic success, students explored 31 career pathways in areas including engineering, business, communications, culinary arts, health sciences, construction, welding, and automotive technology. These programs equip students with hands-on experience, certifications, and real-world readiness.
Post-graduation, students will pursue college degrees, skilled trades, vocational training, apprenticeships, and direct entry into the workforce. Increasing numbers are pursuing fields such as welding, cosmetology, and automotive technology, reflecting the diverse interests and strengths of the student body.
