The Westfield girls golf team won the Lafayette Jefferson Invitational, which took place Saturday at Battle Ground Golf Course.
The Shamrocks totaled a team score of 302. Sophie McGinnis carded a 73, then went on to win medalist honors in a playoff. Sam Brown and Brette Hanavan both scored 76s to tie for fifth place, Allie Hildebrand tied for seventh with a 77, and Addi Kooi tied for 10th with a 78.
Westfield led a Hamilton County sweep of the top three teams. Hamilton Southeastern scored a 308 to finish in second place, led by Lauren Stewart’s 74, which tied her for third place. Yanah Rolston was part of the fifth-place tie with a 76. Marissa Spreitzer and Ella Bui each had 79s and Cora Zink carded an 86.
Noblesville took third place with a team score of 318. Caroline Whallon also scored a 73, finishing second in the playoff to McGinnis. Sophi Stutz scored 79, followed by Jordan Adam 80, Erin Burt 86 and Olivia Anderson 88.
