Westfield Farmers Market opens Thursday

The Westfield Farmers Market, presented by Duke Energy, gears up for its highly awaited opening day on Thursday, May 30. The market runs from 5 to 8 p.m. at Grand Junction Plaza, 225 S. Union St.

More than 40 vendors will showcase fresh produce, artisanal goods, flowers, pet treats, and boutique-style shopping. Seven food trucks will also participate on opening day, including Taco Loco, DonutNV Hamilton County, Schooley’s Hots and Brats, and Ben’s Soft Pretzels. Danielle Carey Tolan, Westfield’s Chief of Staff, will ring the opening bell for the 2024 market season.

Popular vendors returning include Old Major Meats, Eagle Creek Apiary, and Happy Mutt Pet Bakery. Seasonal vendors, such as My Dad’s Sweet Corn, will join the vendor lineup as products become available. The market will welcome many new vendors, including Preservation Jams (jams/jellies), Kora’s Kitchen (pet treats), Without Borders (boutique offerings and permanent jewelry), and J & J A Taste of Home food truck (homemade egg rolls).

A kid’s activity area sponsored by Centier Bank is new to the market. It will include a kid’s activity booklet, sticker sheets, and kid-sized canvas bags to decorate with custom stamps.

The Westfield Farmers Market thanks additional sponsors, including Renewal by Andersen, Leaf Home LLC, and Market District.

Public parking is available in the lot at the southwest corner of Poplar and Park streets, and a courtesy shuttle will run throughout the market. There are also designated on-street spots along Union and Mill streets. Please note that Jersey Street will be closed each market day at 2:30 p.m.
