The Westfield volleyball team was edged out by Mount Vernon in five sets on Monday.
The Marauders won 16-25, 25-16, 25-23, 22-25, 16-14. Carsyn Comer had 16 kills and four blocks for the Shamrocks, while Audrey Bassett hit 15 kills and also had nine digs and three aces.
Kendyl Strack collected 33 digs and served four aces, while Izzy Jackson dished out 30 assists and Emily Blevins handed out 25 assists.
Westfield is 14-6 and hosts Brownsburg Thursday in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference match
