Softball: Westfield falls to Arabians

Westfield started off strong against Pendleton Heights on Wednesday, but the Arabians ran away from the Shamrocks in the third inning, eventually winning 11-2 at the Pendleton field.
Westfield scored both of its runs in the first inning, with Lexi Martin hitting a two-run home run. Emily Revercomb had earlier got on base with a single. But the Arabians scored six runs in the third inning and cruised from there. The ‘Rocks had some big hits in the later innings, including a fifth-inning triple from Avery Parker and a sixth-inning by Brooklyn Carey, but couldn’t get another run in.
Parker finished the game 2-for-3 at the plate.
Westfield is 1-4 and will next play Tuesday, April 6 when it hosts Brownsburg.
