The sun was shining for the fourth annual Topgolf Fundraising Event held this past Sunday. Even with social distancing and masks in place, one could feel the positive energy from attendees who were there to support the Westfield Education Foundation (WEF). The event raised $28,000 on behalf of students and staff at Westfield Washington Schools (WWS).

This year’s event sponsors included the following:

  • Co-Title sponsors: CSO Architect and Skillman Construction
  • Eagle sponsors: SFE and Stifel
  • Shamrock Pride sponsors: Blades Audio Video, CCHA, Community First Bank, Equitable Advisors, Hoosier Glass, Ice Miller, KI, and Wittler Orthodontics
  • Shamrock Family sponsors: Assured Partners, Kroger Gardis & Regas, LLP, L.E. Isley & Sons, Inc., MJ Insurance, and SSC.
  • Shamrock Friends: American Fidelity, BMO Bank, and Puddle Jumpers.

In addition to these generous sponsors, the support of all community members who joined for the event is appreciated.

“What a great day to come together safely and raise money for a great cause. My family and I enjoyed our day playing games and spending time with each other,” said Kyle Messmore, a math teacher at Westfield Middle School.

To date, WEF has awarded approximately $1.3 million to students and staff at Westfield Washington Schools. Through events such as Topgolf, WEF can acquire funds allowing the opportunity to award grants and scholarships.

“Raising funds with today’s circumstances has many barriers,” said Ashley Knott, WWS Family and Community Coordinator and WEF Vice President. “Were thankful for the opportunity to host our event and for sponsors that made it such a success. Creating awareness in regards to the Foundation is essential. On behalf of our 17 volunteer board members, thank you for supporting the Westfield Education Foundation.”

WEF values corporate and community sponsors. The success to fulfill the mission weighs heavily on events as well as partnerships. The annual Topgolf Fundraiser will be held again in 2022.
