The Westfield boys track and field team lost an 89-43 dual meet Wednesday night against Zionsville at Riverview Health Stadium.
Event winners for the Shamrocks included Peyton Haack in the 110 hurdles, Noah Douthit in the 1600 run, Charles Miller in the 200 dash, and Kaleb Pettijohn in the long jump. Two relays, the 4×800 of Jacob Beene, Robby Bogdajewicz, Duncan McGraw, and Tyler Smith, and the 4×400 of Justin Homberg, David Mannella, Jacob Mears, and Miller also won their events.
Also scoring for the Shamrocks were Matthew Rops in the high jump, Cooper Boehm in the 100 hurdles, Alex Kukura in the 100 dash, James McClure in the 1600, Nick Leahy and Manella in the 400 dash, Sam Novak in the 3200 run, and Colin Caldwell in the shot put and discus.
The boys are in action Friday evening in special invitationals at Franklin Central and Lafayette Jefferson, and on Saturday at the W-Z Invite at Zionsville, and next Monday at Noblesville in a triangular meet that also includes Carmel.
