Brian Tomamichel has been named Chief Financial Officer for Westfield Washington Schools. Tomamichel most recently served as CFO of the Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation, and had previous roles with Beech Grove City Schools. The CFO role was created with the upcoming retirement of Nick Verhoff, WWS’s long-time director of business and operations.
Tomamichel recently received the 2017 Pinnacle of Achievement Award from the Association of School Business Officials International. He begins his new role Aug. 14.
Mary Beth Riley, a Westfield resident, has been named principal of Maple Glen Elementary. Riley most recently served as assistant principal of Noble Crossing Elementary in Noblesville. Riley, who begins her new assignment immediately, replaces Dr. Joe Montalone, who has been named Director of Operations for the school district.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with the addition of Brian and Mary Beth to the team, and are thrilled at the quality of applicants for both roles,” said Westfield Washington School Superintendent Dr. Sherry Grate. “We have our key pieces in places as we ready for another successful school year.”
The first day of classes for Westfield Washington Schools students is Wednesday, Aug. 9.
