The Westfield Fire Department reported one of their ambulances was involved in a crash Thursday evening while transporting a cardiac arrest patient to the hospital.
The ambulance, with lights and siren activated, was eastbound on State Road 32 at Little Chicago Road when it was struck by another vehicle.
Firefighters and paramedics continued working cardiac arrest until another ambulance arrived.
Westfield Fire Department officials stated four fire department personnel were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
