Wendell W Harris, 64, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Baptist Health in Corbin, Ky. He was born on April 2, 1953 to Robert L. and Flora (Parker) Harris in Harlin County, Ky.
Wendell retired in 1991 after a 20-year military career, proudly serving his country with the U.S. Army in Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and earning a Bronze Star. After retirement, he worked for Sheet Metal Local 20. He was a lifetime member of the VFW 1410. He attended Richland Christian Church in Kentucky, and in 2010 he became an ordained minister.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Wendell) Harber; sons, Jason (Camille) Harris and Robert Harris; and three brothers, Rick Harris, Bruce Harris and Roger Harris.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Harris who passed away in February 2006; and siblings, Shiela Glenn, Daniel Harris, Ronnie Harris and Bobby Harris.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Rev. Adrian Piazza will officiate. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
