The Town of Sheridan would like to add welcome signs to the entry ways of the town. The town had been contemplating this adventure, so when this subject was entertained at a recent CHANGE/Sheridan Active Living meeting, sponsored by Purdue Extension Office, a small committee was assigned to design a contest for said sign.
The welcome sign design will become the property of the Town of Sheridan. The sign will inform and celebrate the town by being decorative, informative and provide a visual identity for the town.
Entry forms and an official list of the rules may be obtained from the Town of Sheridan’s Clerk Office at 506 S. Main St., or online at sheridan.org under the Events tab. Each entry must be accompanied by an entry form.
A cash prize will be awarded to the winning design. The contest begins immediately and designs are due back by 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1. No digital submissions will be accepted. There will be no entry fee and participation is open to all.
The winning entry will be announced at the Town of Sheridan council meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at the Sheridan Town Hall, 506 S. Main St.
The contest is sponsored by Town of Sheridan, Sheridan Main Street, Inc., CHANGE/Active Living Workshop and Hamilton County Commissioner Mark Heirbrandt.
