Three Hamilton County teams go on the road tonight for their second game of the regular season.

Guerin Catholic (1-0) at Lebanon (1-0)

Class 3A No. 4 Guerin Catholic heads west to Boone County to face Lebanon. This will be the first meeting between the two.

Guerin’s opener at home saw them win convincingly over McCutcheon, 36-17.

Jack Linden ran in the first GC score in the second and Quentin Klee ran back an interception for a 15-7 halftime lead.

The Golden Eagles outscored the Mavericks 36-10, 15 in the second and 14 in the fourth to seal the win.

Malcolm Houze threw for 172 yards and three touchdowns, caught by Aiden Horn, Hayden Cler and Trevor Macey.

Lebanon won in a shootout at home against Pendleton Heights, 48-40.

Noblesville (1-0) at Homestead (0-1)

The Millers have a big road test this week, heading to Fort Wayne to face Homestead. Last year, the Millers shut out the Spartans, 42-0 to tie the series 1-1.

Homestead dropped its opener at Carmel, 34-10.

Noblesville started slow but rattled off 36 points in the middle quarters to push to a 43-24 victory.

Leading a new backfield, QB Max Miller ran for 85 yards and a TD. He also went 3-for-3 with 77 yards passing.

The Millers had five different players score rushing touchdowns, truly sharing the wealth. Israel Oladipupo (2), Ty Holmes, Miller, Noah Shinkle and Nicky Morris each found paydirt.

Aiden Brewer also caught two passes for 53 yards.

Sheridan (0-1) at North Miami (1-0)

The Blackhawks take a road trip north up U.S. 31 for their fourth meeting with North Miami, a series they lead 3-0. The Warriors won last week at home over Northfield, 35-7.

Sheridan opened its season without the living legend Bud Wright on the sideline. Wright was injured during the Blackhawks’ Aug. 16 scrimmage and recovering from surgery. With a ribbon-cutting ceremony, renovated Bud Wright Stadium was dedicated prior to kickoff.

The ‘Hawks were only able to score in the first and second to tie it 14-14, but Western Boone scored three unanswered TDs to win, 35-14. This is the final meeting in the series that began each season since 1997.
