Wanda Zavada

February 13, 1924 – October 19, 2018

Wanda Zavada, 94, Noblesville, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. She was born on February 13, 1924 to Roy Lee Sr. and Josephine (Powers) Lee in Hendricks County.

Wanda was a graduate of North Salem High School. During WWII, she assisted in construction of the tails of Navy airplanes. Wanda was an excellent cook and enjoyed working in the yard, taking great care of her flowers. She was a member of New Brunswick Church of Christ in Lebanon and enjoyed taking care of the kids in her neighborhood.

Wanda is survived by her sons, Frank (Nancy) Zavada Jr., Dennis (Maria) Zavada and Laurance (Lori) Zavada; nine grandchildren, Erin (Ivan) Wollenmann, Mark (Elisha) Zavada, Greg Zavada, Jeff Zavada, Kenny (Sasha) Zavada, Josie Zavada, Melissa Miller, Karen Zavada and John Zavada; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph Lee; and sisters, Maxine Freeland and Marjorie Miller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Peter Zavada Sr.; brothers, Max Lee, Robert E. Lee, Maurice Lee, Jack Lee, Junior Lee and Rex Clay Lee (age 13); and sisters, Juanita Hale and Joan Gochenour.

Services will be held at noon on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, with visitation from 10 a.m. to the time of service. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
