Volleyball: Tigers beat McCutcheon, improve to 2-0

The Fishers volleyball team improved its record to 2-0 by beating McCutcheon 25-18, 11-25, 25-21, 25-14 on Wednesday.
The Tigers played outstanding defense, with 81 total digs and six blocks. Junior Emma Rosenberg paced the defense with 20 digs, followed by junior Rose Duffy with 16, freshman Camryn Haowrth with five and senior Mallory Hernandez with 12. Senior Liz Weeks made two blocks, while junior Haley Soper and Hernandez each got 1.5 blocks.
Junior Audrey Haworth hit 14 kills, while Hernandez put down 13 and Camryn Haworth had seven. Duffy dished out 43 assists.
Fishers will play four matches at the Kokomo Invitational on Saturday.

Hamilton Heights swept Lebanon in straight sets Wednesday, 25-22, 25-14, 25-18, improving its record to 2-0.
Tori Hayden smacked 13 kills for the Huskies. Emma Knowles handed out 14 assists and served three aces, with Ana Collar making 14 digs, providing 12 assists and hitting eight kills of her own.

Westfield dropped a four-set match to Greenfield-Central on Wednesday, 25-22, 21-25, 26-24, 25-17.
The Shamrocks were led by Ellary Detamore with 15 digs and Kinsey McAfee with 14 kills. Hillary Mantel had 2 solo blocks and one assist block, and Grace Weber served two aces. Caroline Sinicki finished with 22 assists.
