Volleyball: Southeastern sends New Pal home

The Hamilton Southeastern volleyball team swept New Palestine 25-16, 25-11, 25-14 on Wednesday.

Avery Hobson hit 12 kills for the Royals, while Lauren Harden put down seven kills on the outside. Lindsey Mangelson added four kills and Madi Evett had three. Sophie Ledbetter collected 10 digs, with Kaylyn Christy getting six digs. Ava Hunter handed out 13 assists, while Macy Hinshaw dished out 11.

Southeastern improved to 2-1 and hosts Lawrence North on Tuesday.

Sheridan was swept by Park Tudor, 25-18, 25-11, 25-17 Thursday in an away match.

Senne IJzer led the Blackhawks in kills with seven and aces with three. Claudia Headlee also hit three kills, while Valerie Adams and Shelby Eaton both put down two kills each. IJzer made one block. Nova Cross dished out 10 assists and led the defense with eight digs. Jacquellynne Bates collected seven digs and IJzer had six.

Sheridan plays its next match Tuesday at Lebanon.
