Volleyball: Sheridan stays unbeaten, Heights & University sweep their opponents

The Hamilton Heights volleyball team improved to 3-0 on Wednesday by sweeping Lebanon 25-18, 25-12, 25-19.

Kennedy Cherry and Julia Bearman both played strong defense, while Macie Smith made smart plays in the front row.

The Huskies are back in action Saturday morning at the Western Boone tournament.

Sheridan also stayed unbeaten after its most recent match, sweeping Park Tudor on Thursday, 25-20, 25-13, 25-18.

Nova Cross dished out 18 assists for the Blackhawks, who are now 2-0 for the season. Sheridan hosts Lebanon Tuesday.

University picked up a sweep in its first match of the season, beating Traders Point Christian 25-20, 25-20, 25-19 in an away match.

The Trailblazers host Clinton Central on Tuesday.
