Volleyball: Millers win all-county match

In an all-county match, the Noblesville volleyball team came back to beat Westfield 20-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-17 Thursday at The Mill.
Lexie Almodovar had another outstanding game for the Millers, with 21 kills and 10 digs. Claire Foster and Alexa Roberts both hit 10 kills, with Foster also making three blocks. Brenna Everingham had 14 digs. Maddie Hine handed out 49 assists and also scooped up eight digs.
Kenzi Daffinee led the Shamrocks with nine kills. Hillary Mantel had four solo blocks and five block assists. Bailey Mendler served two aces, Claire Hindman made 15 digs and Caroline Sinicki handed out 20 assists.

Hamilton Heights won a four-set match over Western Thursday, 25-23, 25-18, 21-25, 25-7.
Ana Collar dished out 22 assists to go with 19 digs, 11 kills and one block. Hannah Crist had 14 digs, 13 kills and four blocks. Janae Osswald put down five kills and made four digs.
The Huskies won the junior varsity match 21-25, 25-12, 15-12.

University defeated Shortridge in four sets Thursday, 25-13, 21-25, 25-11, 25-14.
Lindsey Syrek hit 10 kills for the Trailblazers, while Gillian Monroe handed out 18 assists.
