Volleyball: Millers have mixed success against New Palestine & Hoosier Crossroads opponent Franklin Central

The Noblesville boys volleyball team played two matches this week at The Mill.

On Wednesday, the Millers swept New Palestine 25-9, 25-22, 25-11. Ethan Barrow led the Millers with eight kills, four block and five service aces. Cody Ninete served for 18 points with five aces, including a nine-point run in the third set and a seven-point run in the second set. He also had five kills, one block and an assist. Gael Esqueda served for seven points and had five kills and seven digs while Koy Hendrich added six kills and six digs. Setter Ben Sandahl had 20 assists, two blocks and served for six points.

Noblesville’s Junior Varsity Black team won its match over the Dragons 25-11, 25-23. Micah Sebbas had four kills, two assists and two service points. Kaiden Wright served for nine points, including a five-point run in the opening set. Brian Bzdyl added three kills and eight points while Anas Sakkah posted eight assists and two kills.

The Millers’ JV Gold team fell in three sets, 11-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Noblesville was back at The Mill on Thursday to play Hoosier Crossroads Conference opponent Franklin Central. The Millers were swept 25-12, 25-17, 25-18.

Koy Endrich hit 10 kills for Noblesville, with Barrow putting down seven kills. Dylan Blackwell and Cody Ninete each added five kills while Austin Shaw contributed 10 digs and 18 assists.

The Millers’ JV Black team lost 25-21, 25-14; Bzdyl had four kills and four digs and Alex Thai hit three kills. The team is 7-4 for the year. The JV Gold team lost 21-25, 25-14, 15-4.

Noblesville is 6-5 for the season and plays at Bishop Chatard on Monday.
