The Noblesville volleyball team dropped a four-set match to Bishop Chatard Thursday at The Mill.
The score was 25-13, 23-25, 25-17, 25-17. The Millers’ Bella Hines handed out 26 assists. Lexie Almodovar hit 17 kills, with Rose Crist putting down 11 kills. Almodovar collected nine digs, with Diana Cox and Abby Johnson getting eight each. Cox and Sydney Sparks both had one ace.
Noblesville next plays Tuesday at Pendleton Heights.
Hamilton Heights won an all-county volleyball match over Sheridan in three sets on Thursday.
The Huskies won 25-20, 25-9, 25-18. Stats for Heights were unavailable at press time.
Becca Merritt had five blocks for the Blackhawks. Abbi Clouser had four digs and Lillie Dickerson hit two kills. Allie Delph had five assists, four digs and two aces.
In the junior varsity match, the Huskies won 25-16, 22-25, 15-12. Zoey Fisher had six digs for Sheridan, Kaiden Wilson had four kills, two aces and one block, and Jacquellyne Bates dished out four assists.
The Blackhawks will travel to Shenandoah on Saturday for a tournament.
Hamilton Southeastern dropped a Wednesday match at New Castle, the No. 1-ranked team in Class 4A, 27-25, 25-12, 25-11.
Grace Hunter and Delaney Garner led the 4A No. 6 Royals with seven kills each. Olivia Phillips handed out nine assists. Carly Mills collected 16 digs, with Kyla Berg picking up 12 digs.
Southeastern is 1-1 for the season and hosts Lawrence North on Tuesday.
