Volleyball: Carmel sweeps Irish, Tigers beat NHS

The Carmel volleyball team beat Cathedral in three sets Tuesday at the Eric Clark Activity Center, 28-26, 25-18, 25-14.
Macarty McQueen led the Greyhounds with 13 kills, nine digs and two aces. Ella Brooks hit 11 kills and collected five digs, with Ella Bostic handed out 32 assists to go with 11 digs and three aces.
Carmel is 15-8 and hosts Bishop Chatard tonight.

Sheridan dropped a three-set match at Traders Point Christian Academy on Wednesday, 25-21, 25-8, 25-15.
Emma Went made nine digs and served one ace, with Jacquellynne Bates also hitting one ace. Allie Delph spiked nine kills and collected five digs, while Lillie Dickerson hit five kills and Payton Warren made six digs. Taylor Bates dished out 11 assists and had five digs.
The Blackhawks travel to Tri-Central on Monday for a Hoosier Heartland Conference match.

Fishers swept Noblesville 25-23, 25-22, 30-28 in a Wednesday Hoosier Crossroads Conference match at The Mill.
The Tigers improved to 4-2 in HCC play and 16-5 overall after the win, while the Millers are 1-3 in the conference and 6-12 overall. Noblesville plays at Hamilton Southeastern tonight, while the Tigers travel to Greenfield-Central on Saturday.
