Volleyball: Carmel, Noblesville, Sheridan each sweep their opponents

The Carmel volleyball team swept Warren Central on Thursday, 25-16, 25-4, 25-10.

Emily Waddell led the Greyhounds’ offense with eight kills. Lauren Evans and Avery Carroll both put down four kills, while Claire Trenshaw had three. Carroll served four aces, followed by Carly Christy with three, Lauren Evans, Peyton Ulrey and Amanda Ailes with two each, and Trenshaw with one.

Ailes handed out 12 assists. Trenshaw made three blocks, with Waddell getting two blocks.

Carmel is 13-7 and hosts North Central on Tuesday.

Noblesville swept Zionsville in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference match on Thursday, 25-21, 25-20, 26-24.

The Millers are 2-2 in the conference and 15-3 overall, and play at Carmel on Wednesday.

Sheridan swept Delphi in a Thursday Hoosier Heartland Conference match, 27-25, 25-19, 25-23.

The Blackhawks improved to 2-4 in the HHC and 4-14 overall. Sheridan hosts Indiana School for the Deaf on Tuesday.
