VIP party set at new Westfield Washington Public Library

Fundraising event offers first glimpse of brand-new building

The Westfield Library Foundation is gearing up for an unforgettable VIP Preview Party at the new Westfield Washington Public Library on Saturday, May 18.

Those lucky enough to attend the Indy 500-themed soiree will be among the first to tour the brand-new library building. Tickets for “Race to Check-Out the New WWPL” go on sale today, April 3 – aptly enough, on National Library Giving Day.

Downey

“This unique event offers the public a chance to see the new library before we open it to the public,” said Erin Downey, Executive Director of the Westfield Library Foundation. “But more than that, every ticket sold will benefit the new library by outfitting our makerspace with cutting-edge equipment, expanding our collections, and providing free programming for all patrons.”

The high-octane, adults-only evening will include a scavenger hunt through the new library, a silent auction, raffles, food and drink, and live music. Guests are encouraged to wear festive black and white attire.

Sollars

“We are on the brink of something truly extraordinary,” said Sheryl Sollars, Executive Director of the Westfield Washington Public Library. “This VIP Preview Party isn’t just about unveiling a brand-new building; it’s about unveiling a new chapter in the story of our community.”

Tickets for the VIP party are $125 per person. Members of the library’s 1902 Society enjoy a discounted rate of $100. Anyone eager to join the ranks of the 1902 Society can purchase a special ticket for $290.20 that combines the membership fee and discounted event admission.

Space is limited and the event is expected to sell out. Tickets can be purchased tinyurl.com/library-vip-event.
