Veracity expands with new security expert

Goodes

Veracity IIR welcomes retired United States Secret Service (USSS) Agent Roger Goodes and his firm Goodes Security as a new partner to the team.

“In this day and age where mass shootings, workplace violence and other crimes have become commonplace, it is of utmost importance for businesses to protect themselves from both internal and external threats,” Veracity CEO Doug Kouns said. “Thoughts and prayers after a tragedy don’t help; security assessments and countermeasures to prevent them do. Roger’s vast experience at the highest level puts us in a unique position to provide recommendations to all types and sizes of businesses such as churches, schools, hospitals and governmental facilities.”

Prior to joining the private security industry, Goodes spent 26 years with the USSS. While there, he provided executive protection at the highest levels including the Presidential Protective Division. He finished his public service career as the Special Agent in Charge of the Indianapolis Field Office. After leaving public service, he spent six years as a security executive at a Fortune 50 company, and over three years as a senior consultant with the esteemed security risk management firm Hillard Heintz before opening his own firm.

“We help companies determine their specific security and risk management needs, and then develop a strategic solution to help them smoothly transition to an improved security profile,” Goodes said.
